Moonshell invites you to celebrate National Arts and Humanities this October by joining us for several events.
The first is a ribbon cutting at Bartenbachs Galleries (209 North Locust Street) on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. to commemorate Moonshell becoming a member of the Grand Island Chamber. Moonshell joined the chamber of commerce to help implement recommended changes or new initiatives supporting and encouraging arts and humanities activities identified in the chamber’s and local government’s recent needs assessments.
On Tuesday, October 28, Moonshell will host a fundraiser at Panera Bread from 4-8 p.m. Get a flyer from a Moonshell member, come to Panera Bread and present your flyer and a portion of the price of your meal will be donated to Moonshell for its school teacher’s grants program.
Visit Moonshell’s booth at the Day of the Dead Fiesta at Stuhr Museum on November 1 from 12-6:30 p.m.; make a papel picado to decorate your own home in honor of your loved ones!
Moonshell Arts and Humanities Council was organized in 1998 by interested organizations and individuals following a needs assessment undertaken by Grand Island and Hall County which identified a need for an umbrella organization to help promote, support, enhance and coordinate arts and humanities activities in Hall County and the surrounding area.
October is National Arts and Humanities Month. How are you going to celebrate? Maybe going to see the Grand Island Art and Sketch Club Exhibit is currently hanging at Bartenbach’s Venue Gallery?
